The Vladimír Reiský de Dubnic Music Festival at the Vilémov Castle was founded in 2007 in honor of the 190th anniversary of the death of music composer Matěj Sojka (1740-1817), a composer, musician and music teacher in the service of Count Josef Carretto Millesimo, then owner of the Vilémov estate and builder of its Baroque castle. This concert series also celebrates the memory of Baron Vladimír Reiský de Dubnic, who restored the ruined castle at the end of the 20th century to its present form for the enjoyment and education of a Czech and international public.
